TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. ABC Education Centre Pte Ltd (the “Academy”) reserves the right to cancel the tuition session when necessary. In this case, a refund (full or pro rata) will be given for fees paid.
2. The Academy accepts no liability for any personal property or injury to a person.
3. The fees may be changed at any time and at the absolute discretion of the Academy. A notice of at least 2 weeks (from date of announcement) will be given.
4. The Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student from the tuition programme immediately if he/she misbehaves, causing severe disturbance to other students or our staff. A letter of warning may or may not be given depending on the severity of activity.
5. Parents or guardians shall be liable for any damage caused by the student to premises where classes are taught.
ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UP LESSONS
6. If a student is absent with a valid reason (as determined solely by the Academy), fees paid WILL NOT be refunded but that student can attend a make-up session arranged by the Academy in the same week he/she was absent at any of our branches or an online class.
7. In the event the student is unable to attend that make-up session, that student will be provided with the lesson recording for that week's class, and the worksheets that were covered during the class he/she had missed.
CENTRE CLOSURE ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
8. The Academy will be closed during Public Holidays unless otherwise notified by the Academy. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for specific closure dates.
9. The Academy will be closed during the school holidays from 14 November 2022 to 20 November 2022 as well as 19 December 2022 to 1 January 2023. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for specific closure dates.
FEES & PAYMENT
10. Our 2022 lessons are grouped into blocks of 4 weekly lessons. Before the start of every Block, an official invoice for the fees will be sent BEFORE the commencement of every block.
11. Payment must be made before student is eligible to attend the course for that group. Rates may be pro-rated where necessary and as determined solely by the Academy.
REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT
12. For each subject your child is enrolled with us, the Academy collects a $300 refundable deposit. It will be used for the student’s last 4 P6 lessons with us prior to their PSLE, or to offset the final 4 lessons during service of the 1 month notice upon withdrawal. Any outstanding balance will be refunded after the student’s last lesson with us.
WITHDRAWAL AND DROPPING OF SUBJECTS
13. Any decision to withdraw from the Academy or drop any subject a student is enrolled in must be accompanied by a completed withdrawal form one calendar month before the intended withdrawal date. The withdrawal form may be requested from the Academy.
14. In the event a student wishes to withdraw from the Academy or drop any of his/her subject he/she is enrolled in, that student will have to attend all remaining lessons that have been paid for (including the 4 lessons covered by the security deposit).
ONLINE LESSONS
15. Parents with children attending our online classes consent and agree to our cameras-on policy. They agree that they allow and would ensure that their children turn on their cameras throughout the duration of online classes.
16. Parents are also aware that all online classes will be recorded and that online students would have the benefit of receiving and reviewing these recordings. These recordings are non-downloadable and will expire in 1 month from the date of the lesson conducted.
17. Parents accept that the Academy does not send soft copies of its lesson materials. In the event it does so, the lesson materials sent will be watermarked.
18. Parents agree not to share, circulate, disseminate, make copies of and/or sell our lesson materials with or to any other person other than their child who is enrolled in the Academy.
OTHERS
19. Except for Clause 1 of this Terms and Conditions, the Academy has a strict NO REFUND policy.
20. By submitting this registration form, you agree that the Academy may collect, use and disclose your personal data, as provided in this registration form, for the following purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012:
(a) to conduct classes (both online and centre based), including but not limited to the arranging of make up lessons and sending of lesson materials and online class instructions; and
(b) to send you marketing materials to keep you abreast of our programmes.
21. Parents give the Academy their consent to use their and their child's photographs and results for marketing and publication purposes.
